Am I the only one who likes the iPhone X?

Ok I feel like I'm the only one who is excited for the iPhone X, I'm an Apple girl and I even pre ordered the 7plus last year and plan on pre order the X. All I see though is people hating on it, it's "too expensive" or "Samsung had this first" so what?! Ya it's 1,000$ but if you make monthly payments like I do it's really not bad at all. Also if you realize that you're paying for a small freaking computer that's can recognize you're face, pay for things, call, text, FaceTime, take amazing pictures, and so many other things the price isn't crazy. I mean look how far we've come with technology, do you really think it's going to stay cheap for the amount of work put into these devices? Last thing, who gives a damn if you have a samsung or Apple product? It's peoples preference and it shouldn't matter what makes them happy so please stop trying to take away peoples excitement just because you don't like it.

Pretty much. It's a letdown for sure, especially at that price.

I'm waiting for it as well. I don't plan on buying it, but like the direction Apple took with it.

Just an FYI, the plans for Apple to have a full display front phone were as far back as May 2015. Samsung, as usual these days, saw those reports & made their own attempt with the Galaxy S8, etc.

Yes. You are the only one.

Here is the thing. Apple packs its custom CPU that is fast but expensive. Now, in a mobile phone, there's absolutely zero need for that fast of a CPU. Your app loading speed is almost always dependent on your SSD disk read speed, and on avaliable. IOS needs less RAM than Android because iOS has better RAM optimizations, due to the fact that iOS is designed to run on a very narrow selection of hardware, whereas Android must run smoothly on every single kind of hardware combination, from a $50 potato to a $800 high end phone.

Reactions to it have been strongly leaning towards… Well quite disappointed to say the least. It suffers from bad cropping of images like movies and games. The iPhone's x OLED panel from Samsung does not come close to matching the quality found on the Galaxy Note 8, or Galaxy S8 display. (Infact its been downgraded in the brightness department to levels we haven't seen on a OLED display since the Galaxy S5 in 2014.)

The iPhone x does *not* support quick charge out of the box like Android phones offer either. In fact it requires a power brick adapter and a converting cable that have to be bought separately for $80.00 actually. Not to mention it still lacks a headphone jack and requires yet another adapter to lug around for that. The wireless charging does not support both competing wireless standards like the Galaxies do. And the iPhone X and the iPhone 8 only support up to 7.5 watt charging. The Galaxies offer "Quick Charge" wireless charging and utilise both charging standards. And a phone like the Note 8 offers a larger better display with all of these technologies for a cheaper price and also include a pair of $100.00 ear phones.

So that's why the majority of iPhone fans are disappointed and due to that hideous looking notch that causes some serious user experience issues.

And it's not going to be possible to even get an iPhone X until next year's some time, as Samsung is limiting mass production of the iPhone X, due to their limited production capacity of OLED panels. So even if you want a new iPhone this year, you almost have to settle for an iPhone 8. Wich in reality is the better bargain anyways not to mention it doesn't have cropping issues and supports Touch ID which the iPhone X lacks.
