Any other way to store photos?
I have lots of photos on my iPhone that I want to keep some where safe then delete them off my iPhone so I can make room for new photos. I have them on my computer right now, but I'm scared that one day it will break down or it could get hacked? Does any one know any other way I can store my photos?
Do you know anyone that has photo print on their computer connect. If so, you have special paper/photo and print it out. Canon has one type.
Once they are on your computer, you can back them up to an external hard drive or a CD or DVD.
Depending on what you mean by "a lot of photos"
If you have a SD slot on your computer you could buy a 16gb SD card, and you could always buy more and find a way to store it. Or just get a lot of flash drives and store them somwhere.
**$12-$17**
you could get a USB Hard Drive and only save photos for it.
(depending on size) $70ish-$200
You could also get an online backup/storage, like google drive, cloud storage etc. They have free services but, google drive only holds 4gb for free, you would have to pay more for the size of storage.
hope this helps: D
If you have over 4 gb of images you want to preserve, M-DISC™ makes a special burnable DVD that is supposed to last up to 1000 years.
You will have to buy a special CD/DVD/BD burner to get this capability, but if you really, really want to save your images for decades, this is the way to do it.
So you have never heard of CDs, or flashdrives, or external hard drives?

ADD: The answer from "Kelly" really does not deserve a thumbs down. Though it is not very well stated, I actually agree that the only true way to have archival storage is with real, tangible PRINTS. Nothing digital can be relied upon to last, or not become corrupt, or not become obsolete in years to come. You have to be ever diligent to keep updating digital storage to new devices as they come along. The never ending archival obsolescence is one of my major problems with digital photos. A well stored film negative will never be obsolete. The main problem with film negatives is that there's only one. If anything happens to it, there goes your original. At least digital does give you the ability to store on multiple devices in different places.
Bottom line, nothing man made is forever.
- My iphone 4's lock button is broken. Is there any other possible way to turn it on? Its not my current phone, but I need to download music & pictures off it but its off and the button is totally unusable. I tried to talk to the Apple store but I can't get the serial number off the phone (due to the fact that its OFF ) so they were unhelpful.
