Any unlimited hotspot only SIM cards?
Had a house fire recently and won't get it back for a while, I have been using cellular data and it's been fine. I have my old iPhone and I've found with using a hotspot I can do things that I can't with data (update large apps, software updates etc) but I don't want to pay a huge premium for a data plan if I'm only using it as the hotspot. Are there such things as hotspot only data plans?
There are. You would normally use this through a dongle though
The SIM card has nothing to do with the plan; that is dependent on which plan you choose through your carrier. However, with pretty much all carriers, you're going to be paying a lot of money for "unlimited" data. Even if you get an "unlimited" plan, they will slow you down to a crawl once you reach a certain threshold. You're going to have to look around for whatever carriers are in your area and what services they offer. Most of them do sell a physical hotspot device (like a MiFi).
- Taking out sim cards and cellular data on iPhone 4s? Currently I'm in a different country and do not want any unexpected charges to pop up on my bill when I return. My sim card is out but I still send emails and browse the internet using the local wi-fi from my location; since the sim card is out, I won't be charged? Also, what is cellular data? Like I said, I took out my sim card and data roaming is disabled but cellular data is turned on, I won't be charged for it being on since the sim card isn't inserted, correct?
- Jailbroken iPhone - Different sim cards won't work? I found an iphone 3G about a year and a half ago and tried to return it to its owner without any luck. Anyway I jailbroke it the other day with the latest version of redsnow using 4.2.1 and everything works find except for making calls and texts. It just either says sim locked or searching at the top left hand side of the screen, depending on the sim I put in. A phone store said the firmware I'm using is too recent. Could this be the case? Any help please and thank you

- Is Giffgaff sim cards in partnership with O2? I have a iPhone and it's only open to O2 will the Giffgaff card be okay for my phone Please share any info
