Any way to create a home media server?
I'm looking to find a way to create a media server at home so that I can stream music, photos, and video across multiple devices. I want to be able to stream content to a PS3 and an iPhone. I also want to know if I can make it require a password or something to access it, to prevent neighbors or other people that come over from accessing my content. Any help?
Yes - just buy an old computer off ebay - pentium dual core, about 2gig ram for about 50 bucks
Then buy Microsoft home server $49

- Server unavailable - can't access server - iPhone? Just wondering if anyone is having server issues? I've been unable to log on on my iPhone in about a week now. Keep getting 'server unavailable - please try again later' or 'can't access server'! I can access it if I go through safari app tho. Any advise would be great. Cheers

- IPhone freezes when I open any media? I have an iPhone 4s and only for a few months. Recently any time I open any media including: My pictures Music apps (songza and pandora) Videos (YouTube, Vine and the netflix/amazon prime/hulu+ apps) When I open these apps it either- -Freezes (I can get out of it by hitting the home button) -opens then quits itself (closes) **even when my phone is fully charged and have strong Wi-Fi** Is this something I can't fix on my own or do I need to go down to the apple store?
- I recently sold my old iPhone and I'm not sure if all of my photos and media are completely erased Is there a way to check some how? I did some sort of reset setting on the phone… Not sure if it was a factory reset or what all I know is when I sold it the phone still required the password to unlock it so I'm not entirely to sure if all my stuff is still there or not.
