Anyone who's good with iPhones?

I've got an iPhone 5 16GB and I seem to never have enough memory for anything these days, can't even do software updates. So anyway I've bought an iPhone 6 with 64GB to try and solve my lack of storage but now I'm hearing its not about your phone storage it's all to do with your iCloud storage? So have I paid nearly an extra 100£ for a bigger storage which isn't going to solve my problem? Could someone just explain iCloud and phone storage to me please? X

Physical storage on a phone is just what you think it is. What you don't know is what is stored in physical storage. Every game level, every game score, every text, every web browser search, cookie, page, email sent, text message, social status update, every everything will be stored on it unless you know how to manage it or clean it up. Updates are huge now. Yeah they take like 1.5gb of download space to set up shot and 'fix' the iOS but they only take up and additional 43-50mb of space when they are done and 'shrink' into place.
iCloud is virtual storage. Your free iCloud account is only 5gb and doesn't store everything like you think it does. It does emails, photos, contacts, and some other things. But at only 5gb it can't store all of your stuff. You have to pay Apple and annual fee for extra space above 5gb.
With 64gb now you don't have that problem coming for a very long time, but you still need to know that phones get bloated fat and lazy like people and without care, they get sick too.
See the links as you need to know how to do this no matter what size phone it is. Best luck.
