App on to text to US from canada?
I want to text my friend from the states, i'm canadian. I don't have a plan that covers that but he does and i have an iphone. Is there any good apps you know that would allow me to text him through the internet rather than using my actual plan
Heywire is a great free one. It's probably the fastest and lightest of all the ones I used. Others are slow and buggy.
- Will it cost me to text someone from Canada who is in US? I live in the US and used my iPhone to text someone from Canada whom is visiting the US. However, my text message didn't send through imessage, but instead it did as a normal text message. That person also has an iPhone. Will it cost me internationally for sending that message?

- Travelling to Canada, my AT&T iPhone now says Rogers? I drove from the US Over to Canada yesterday and the little AT&T icon on my iPhone suddenly changed into Rogers. Can I still make calls to the US/use data on the Rogers network or am I gonna be charged extra?
- Is there an app or something that I can make calls from the US to Canada for free? Is there an app where I can call Canada from the US for free? I have an iPhone and my phone is shut off at the moment so I have to use an app for texting, but don't know of any that I can call from. I really need to make a call to a friend who is in Canada.
