Apple 'Pages' Pros and Cons?
I need a little help with a question I'm stuck on. What are some of the Pro's and Con's of Page's by Apple.
Is it only for iDevices (Mac, iPhone, iPad etc)?
Is it backwards compatible with older versions?
Is it feature rich?
Is it for only businesses?
Those kinds of questions. I appreciate the help.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to answer your question.
Pages is the word processing application of Apple's Office Suite called iWork.
Pages is feature rich and intuitive as most Apple software products are and incorporates well into the Mac OS experience. With the ability to draw in content from other Apple software products and your Mac or iOS device.
Pages has the ability to import and export Microsoft Word (.doc files) documents with some caveats when it comes to some formatting and macro programing. Pages does give you an itemized list of these conflicts upon opening and exporting a Microsoft Word document.
Pages has versions available for Mac, iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Again there are some features that are available in the desktop Mac OS version that doesn't translate completely to the iOS versions. Again there's a conflict window that gives you these warnings.
In my experience, I have found that most issues, have to do with exporting to Microsoft Word, come from the extra content rich parts that Pages provides. But again those are able to be adjusted once you find out what is causing a conflict and adjust the project before sharing with your Microsoft Office using friends and business associates.
Currently, Pages documents are backwards compatible with all versions of Microsoft Word and Pages.
Pages would not be considered a business only program. Apple does make Professional Software for designers and creators but this would not be one of those programs.
And finally, iWork is currently in a beta for use with iCloud. I have used it some as I'm a current beta tester and it seems to work well in the browser and therefore will work on Mac and PC upon debut.
Feel free to check out Pages at http://www.apple.com/...work/pages and http://www.apple.com/...ork/pages/
Thank you for your time and I hope I have answered your question to your liking.

- What is pros and cons, features of apple iPhone 5? Please tell me when Apple iPhone 5s or 6 release in India. And please tell me what is Nexus, what is its use.
- What are the pros and cons of a sprint and tmobile merge? Will my coverage speeds change? Will my Tmobile iPhone 5c be technically be running off of sprints network? Sprint is just downright terrible. I don't want to be paying a cent for service I can't use. Please tell me this isn't the case. TMobile uses HSPA+ network, and sprint uses CDMA. Those technologies are 2 totally different technologies, therefore probably rendering them incompatible.
- Should I Buy the iPhone 5 from Apple or Verizon? (Pros and Cons Please.)? My wireless phone service is on a business plan and only the business owner is our Verizon Account Manager, so I do not have rights to access my Verizon account. I have had my Blackberry Storm2 for over 3 years and I'm wondering if it is better for me to wait and see if Verizon will offer the 64GB iPhone 5 at a discounted price for me or if Apple will offer the iPhone 5 at the same exact price as Verizon including the ability to sync with my Verizon business account?
