Apps are not showing up after update?
So I didn't delete the apps on my iPhone 4s before I updated the software on it. The apps are on the phone but I can only access them through the app store by clicking "open" on them. They aren't on the screen like they were before. I called the company and they said, after talking to me, that everyone is downloading the software and installing it and said just to be patient and to keep trying to redownload the apps and get them on the screen.
Added (1). I can't delete them.
If you have not already, try uninstalling and manually reinstalling all your apps (or at least the essentials for now) this should greatly improve your predicament.

I plan on backing up my phone first, but will the backup save these apps from being gone forever? Is there a way to prevent these apps from being deleted other than backing up my phone? Or will these apps simply be no longer avaliable?

I recently downloaded the ios6 for my iphone 4s and after i did, my camera apps like camwow, camwow retro and camstar won't work… The picture comes out black. - Old apps showing up on my iPhone after I deleted them when connecting to iTunes? I just recently got a new iPhone and I restored my old iPhone onto the new one and now every time I plug in my new iPhone to my computer old apps that I have deleted (multiple times even today) keep showing up and I have to delete them over again.
