Are all otterbox cases waterproof?

I was walking back home and it started raining HARD I had my phone in the pocket of my sweater. I kept checking if my pockets were dry. They were, but I'm not too sure my phone was protected because my sweater was drenched in water. I have an iPhone 4s? Do you think I'm screwed?

Was the case dry? Take the phone out and check it… But chances are it is fine.

No, the otterbox cases are not waterproof, but they are pretty close. It SHOULD have protected it from a damp cloth rubbing against it.

If your pockets were dry, then I don't see why you'd have any problems.
To answer your first question… No, not all otterbox cases are waterproof. It would tell you on the packaging or the information on their website.

Hope this helps!

Otterbox cases are water resistant. This means they can protect your phone from rain, but say you dropped your phone in a bowl of water and it got submerged, then you may want to put it in rice. But I have an Otterbox defender and when I shower and have my phone in there with me it never gets ruined.
