Are guys actually oblivious?

I sent a nice text to a guy, a text which deserved a reply. I know he saw it, because of iphone read receipts. He hasn't replied yet. I keep on waiting and I don't know why he didn't reply. Do guys seriously not know how volnurable girls feel after sending a heartfelt text? Do I have a right to be upset. Is it normal for a guy not to reply

Many guys are oblivious, but at the same time many guys aren't and just don't care about a girl's feelings. I don't know this kid, but you do, so it's up to you to decide whether he's worth it. Answer my most recent one please?

I usually reply to my texts so that's abnormal. He probably forgot to reply. Yes guys are very oblivious

You can be upset over anything that upsets you. Having said that, it is also necessary to say that the guy probably doesn't care whether your text deserved a reply nor that it was heartfelt. IF he were sensitive and understood your feelings, a good guy would take the time to at least let you down gently or give you a positive response. As it is, we don't know very much at all about his state of mind.
What you have experienced is a very good object lesson. First, the world isn't going to end because you put yourself out there and got no reply. Second, the best relationships are tender things built up over time and do not spring to life in a sudden burst of words and emotions.

He could just be doing something and read it will quick and is going to reply later or he might be thinking of something good to say back and now sound creepy or he just might now be into you. Any of those 3 are possibilities, only time will tell just relax and do something else to keep your mind off of it and if he replies then that's great but if not then maybe he's not worth pursuing

There's also the possibility that he's not interested and doesn't want to hurt your feelings by stating it outright.
