Are moon pies made with real moon ingredients that the astronauts brought back? Or is somebody lying?

Like do they mix actual moon dust in the pie crust or filling?

Yes its why they are so expensive lol

No more than girl scout cookies are made from real girl scouts

Hmm! Cheese

I'd be disturbed if my shepherd's pie had any amount of shepherd in it. Same goes for Irish stew!

I'm wondering just how expensive a moon pie with real moon dust sprinkled on it would be.
Say you dusted with half a gram, I think that would cost something like $25,000 per pie.

Moon pies were invented in 1917 - 52 years before the first moon landing.
So how could they have been made with material from the moon?

This is the best dumbest question I've seen yet, man.

A moon pie is actually shaped like a disc, or a very large coin. A spheroid that is located a great distance away LOOKS like a disc. Calling a commercially prepared dessert food a "moon pie" was a marketing trick intended to generate interest (by ethereally associating it with the Apollo missions) and increase sales.
