Are otter boxes a good iphone case?
Will they protect the screen from shattering?
They are probably the best you can get for protection, I don't like them though, they are very bulky and aethetically unappealing to me.
Yes, they are very protective and good cases and your iPhone won't shatter if you drop it, but the case is super bulky so if you are gonna be putting it in your pocket it might not fit, and the silicone outer part can rip a little, but basically it is a good case and it's sorta cute.
Yes, as long as you don't mind it being heavy and bulky. I had an Otterbox for my Blackberry and I got annoyed with how large and clunky it made my phone feel. I have an iPhone now and I wouldn't buy an Otterbox, mainly because my pockets are too small to have the extra bulk in them. A few of my coworkers use it for their iPhones and they love it.
It's not a guarantee that the screen won't shatter just from the fall, but it'll definitely provide extra protection from scratches.
