Are screen protectors worth it?

I recently got an iPhone 6 plus. It was very expensive but I'm debating if I should get a screen protector or not. If I do I'm getting tempered glass but it's so hard to get off. I like the feeling of the phone without the protector but I phones are fragile and if I dropped it then I would be screwed. What do you think I should do? But it or no? I already have a case on it it's just the front that is "naked"

You could always buy an otterbox, they have the protector and it doesn't leave any bubbles if you take it off. I would just buy a case that had a built in screen protector because either way you will probably get scratches on it, especially with iphones.

Glass screen protector are defiantly the way to go, they are hard to scratch and if you drop it, it will only break the glass not the screen itself. And the feeling of the screen protector you will get used too.

Just get a plastic screen protector, they're cheap

Look at it this way, plastic film or tempered glass, better to have those scratched than the actual screen. And all it takes to scratch glass (tempered or otherwise), is something that is as hard, if not harder than glass. And there's a lot of grit and other sandy particles that collect in our bags, pockets and on what appear to be clean surfaces, that can and do scratch up screens and backs of phones.

I'm seeing 50-50 on tempered glass screen protectors saving screens from getting damaged from drops. Almost none of the screens that hit concrete survive without both the tempered glass and the screen it is protection breaking, forcing the screen to have to be replaced. Which tells me, if the jolt is hard enough to shatter the tempered glass (a good side/edge rap is all that is needed in most cases), it is hard enough to also break the screen.

If you are worried about your phone, also get some sort of third party insurance or extended warranty that will also replace the phone should it it damaged beyond repair. ESPECIALLY if you are paying for your phone in installments.

  • What is the best iphone screen protectors to keep phone from cracking/shattering? I'm making the switch to an iphone 5 soon, and I'm wondering what the best type of screen protector is. I'm accident prone, and drop my phone quite often. I'm not interested in an Otterbox or anything that is bulky. Which screen protector will keep my screen from cracking? Also, when it comes to buying a case, what type of material would offer the most extra protection? (gel, silicone, rubber, etc.)
  • What are the best screen protectors for the iphone 4S? I just purchased my first iphone the other day and have been afraid to bring it out with me or even use it a lot until I get a screen protector and case. I looked on Amazon and there are so many different brands and styles. I also did some research, but I still don't know which one is the best. I want a good screen protector that doesn't cost too much. Which brands do you suggest? Also, do they sell cases with screen protectors in one or are they sold separately.
