Are white iPhones/iPads for women?

I'm a guy and I'm in high school. I'm thinking about getting the iPad mini, I don't really like the way the black looks, I prefer the white with the silver backing. But my friends are telling me to get a black one because the white ones are for women and "homos". Should I not care and get a white one? Or play it safe and get a black one…
P.S. I think would get a red apple smart cover. Maybe green

No! Who ever told you that is so wrong! It's your choice not other people's.

Not hardly. Many people now want white devices over the old black ones. Just don't get pink!

No, I like white also

No! Women just like white more to black but I have a black Ipad and I'm a girl. The black is formal and looks all technology. The white is a very nice colour and I don't see how it is only for women.

It is just his opinion. In fact the white one is preferable as it is not a finger print magnet like the black one.

I do suggest that you take a look at these comments from an actual user of iPad Mini that you would find helpful:

Hope this helped!

  • Why do some people like to act like iPhones and iPads are status symbols? If it were, I mean you'd have the whole lifestyle to keep up. But a lot of people buy them. I'll admit they're both convenient but I find it a little weird to think anything of owning one. (This is in general, and not directed towards how people act to me - just my observation).
  • Why are the harddrives on iphones and ipads so small? The maximum Harddrive space on the latest iphone is only 64gb? Why is that? With all the apps, songs and films you can download the maximum space apple gives you is 64gb? Why? Its nowhere near as much as a laptop and cast your mind back to the ipod classic you could get a 160GB harddrive on them. Does anyone know why apple went backwards?
  • More you use an app the more space it takes up on iPhones and iPads? I have an iPad and new iPhone 5 that I just got. I have rhapsody on both the same app and amount of music basically (iPad as seven more songs on app) but on the iPad the rhapsody app takes up 2.8 GB and the iPhone takes up 1.8GB. Why is that? The more use the app the more space it takes up even if you're not adding new content?
  • How many iPods, iPads and iPhones will be made? Has apple already planned how many they will make? When will the next iPod, iPad, and iPhone come out?
