You are 15 and someone is buying your phone and service, or you are walking into a store with cash to buy this phone outright yourself and then pay the monthly service on your own?

If the latter, nice, something to comment about, if the first, big deal many kids have mommy and daddy get their phones for them make payments without Applecare Plus (too much money they say), and the phone is damaged in the first year of use.

No. I'm not convinced the face recognition will prove to be as simple and reliable to use as the fingerprint scanner.

I'll allow others to pay theough the nose to be guinea pigs and iron out the bugs, and then wait until a later model which by then may also have worked out how to lose the annoying bite taken out of the screen by the cameras and face sensor.

Paying one grand for a phone intended to last only for a two year standard contract means it'll cost me at least £42 a month, excluding any interest payments, plus the cost of the calling and data package. And after all that it won't really do much more than my fully paid for and fully functional 2.5 year old 128GB iPhone 6 which gives me unlimited call minutes and texts, and 16GB per month plus Spotify Premium for just £16 a month.

When I need to change my iPhone 6 it'll be to a good used 256GB iPhone 7 or iPhone 8 from CEX which has their 2 year warranty.

  • Which iPhone will you be getting? The 5c or the 5s? Since I just got a Samsung Galaxy s4, I'll be sitting this one out and then get whatever Apple releases in 2015. Still plan on getting the next ipad mini, hopefully it gets a retina display.
  • What iPhone will you be getting? The 2 new iPhones have been revealed today. So will you be getting the iPhone 5C or the iPhone 5S? If you are getting the iPhone 5C, what color will you get… Blue, green, white, pink, or yellow? But if you are getting the iPhone 5S, will you be getting silver, gold, or space-gray? btw, does anybody know if we will be able to preorder the iPhone 5S or not?
  • Is there any way of getting iPhone 5 for 199$ and getting rid of the contract? I just want the phone and wanna get rid of the contract without paying for it. I know how to unlock the phone so that's not a problem.
  • Is the iPhone 5s still worth getting in 2015? Is it getting obsolete? My mom might be considering on getting me an iPhone, but she said that i Can't get a 6. She might be getting me a 5s instead. I don't know when yet though. How many years will Apple support software updates? It is already almost two years old and is it still a worth getting?
