I'm ashamed of the year I was born, anyone else?
Hi, so I'm 13 years old, so unfortunately I was born in 2004. I have always hated the year I was born, I'm ashamed to be apart of this generation. My sister who was born in 1995 always makes fun of me because I was born in 2004, she says I'm apart of the "iPhone generation" which I agree does suck, I hate the generation in growing up in with all the iPhones and memes and stuff, even my own parents make fun of me for being born in 20004, they say anyone born in the 2000's will not live a real childhood, I wish I was born in like 1983 or something. I hate being a 2010's kid, and my cousin who was born in 1998 makes fun of me to, I feel like my whole family does. I'm the only person in my whole family who was born in the 2000's, does anyone else ever feel like they were born in the wrong year? I'm depressed now.
So we're you born in 2004? Or 20004? Because if you are from 20004 I really wanna know what happened to Kim Kardashian all those year's ago
It classed as generation snowflake. Mind you your sister was born in 1995 so she is a dam millenial.
Why does the year you were born have to affect the way you behave? You can't stop people from calling you names, what you can do is control how you react or don't react to people like that. You can't help when you were born so being ashamed of it is a waste of time. Be the person you want to be and let the jerks of the world be jerks. You don't have to give them the satisfaction of letting the name calling bother you, because In the end that's pretty much grade school behavior. Next time your sister calls you a name call her a poopy head. Or laugh in her face and just move on with your life. Don't let others control your behavior so easily. That's why they do it pretty much.
Better to be born in 2004 than 1994, not only are you younger than those born earlier than you, you will likely live to see things they won't, because they will get old faster.
I'm 14 and very happy to be born in one of the most conservative generations recently. I used to be just like you. I hated everything about modern culture, but you will get used to it.
- Would you consider someone born in 1990 part of the Justin Bieber/iphone generation? Someone who is 22-23 now Would you say they basically aren't any different from a teenager now because they were born in the 90s?
- Was I born in the wrong era? I really love Madonna and Carol Burnett, I like Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, Cher and a ton more old stars, I love the style from the 70s/80s! I don't really like new stars, but I love my iphone and a lot of gadgets from this generation oh, btw I'm 12!
- Should this be something to be ashamed of? I have an IPOD touch 5 and a iPhone 3G And ima 14year old girl. We were standing there and I was on my IPOD and a girl Said is that an iPhone 5? And the boy that bully's me said "it's an IPOD touch 5… She's a cheapo she can't afford it"
- People of all ages: Did people born in 1990 grow up with iPhones? Explain why or why not. The first iPhone was released in 2007. BQ: What year were you born in and did you grow up with iPhones.
