Backed up iphone but not appearing in libraries?

Got a new laptop cos my old one broke, so i've done what websties have said, and right clicked on my phone and clicked back up, but it says online, " don't erase your data until all your backupped stuff is in your itunes library" mine isn't there… Am i doing something wrong?

When you do a backup of your idevice, it doesn't back up music and videos, it only backs up data (like contacts, application/game data like saves, and etc).

If you want to backup your music and videos you will need a 3rd party application.
i have an ipod touch and i use http://www.i-funbox.com/
Its made more for jailbroken devices as a file browser and etc, but with non-jailbroken devices you can use it to back up music and videos.

you just need itunes installed on the computer, and your device connected, then open it and click the music and video recovery. It will populate the windows with all of your music and videos (it will have names like XQFJ and stuff, but thats because thats how apple actually stores the music and video files on the device).

After its done, just select all of them (ctrl+a) and then select copy to computer.
Then open up itunes, and select file > import from folder > select the folder you copied the music/videos to.

If you bought the music or videos through itunes, you can go into itunes and right click on your device in the left side of the itunes windows and select transfer purchases. (same thing for apps purchased through itunes)
