Battery improvement iPhone 5S?

I got an iPhone 5S like two weeks ago and I think my battery is pretty bad. I have been using Android for past two years and I'm new to Apple.

My battery is now at 60%, my usage time is 2 hours, 42 minutes and my standby is 5 hours, 48 minutes?
Is this even good?

Anyway how can I improve it?
Some people say that I should drain it to 0% and full charge it twice, some people say to reset it, to reset settings,… Is there any truth in that?

I also have Siri turned off, my bluetooth, AirDrop, Location services are turned off and all those basic stuff. Also my phone doesn't push me notifications.

Heres the thing the cord for iPhones is super short because you're not supposed to use them while they are charging. Also the battery lasts much longer if you charge it when its dying and fully charge it. So instead of constantly plugging it you have to actually drain the battery and fully charge it.

Lithium batteries have no memory, so doing what someone told you is totally false. If you feel the battery is not performing, and the phone is only two weeks old, take it back and have it checked out.

I wouldn't drain it to 0, I never do that unless its an accident. Siri you can leave on but don't turn on that option where it activates when you raise it. I dim my screen to about 40% and its still bright even at 40% so lower that to where you are happy with it.
