Because a USB device was drawing too much power from your computer?

Ok so lately when I plug in my iPhone 5 to my macbook to charge it, about every five minutes I get this message that says "Because a USB device was drawing too much power from your computer, one or more of your USB devices have been disabled." and then under it it says "To prevent damaging your computer, the USB device drawing too much power has been disabled. Other devices may have also been disabled. When you disconnect the device drawing too much power, your other USB devices will be enabled again."
I have never had this problem before. It used to work just fine.
Can anyone help tell me what this means and how I can fix it?

Short answer: you're probably using the FRONT USB ports which usually deliver lower power. Standard USB ports provide 0.5A which is totally insufficient if you have 3+ USB devices connected

Use the USB ports at the BACK of your PC. You're out of luck if you're using a Laptop. (You'll have to buy a hub with with external power adapter)

  • What's a good DRAWING app for iPhone? ALSO! Do you have any suggestions of some other mobile device that allows me to draw with a HARD tip stylus? It's hard for me to draw precisely with my FINGER (the iPhone doesn't let me draw on it with a regular hard tip pointed stylus).
  • What are some good DRAWING apps for the iPhone? ALSO! Could you please also suggest another portable device/gadget other than the iPhone that allows me to draw with a pointed, hard-tip plastic stylus. The iPhone only lets me draw with my finger, and my drawings look very inaccurate when I draw on the iPhone because my finger is so big.
