Best audio mixing software/app?
I have been searching around for an app or downloadable software (it could be online also though) that allows you to mix audio tracks (specifically Mp4 or whatever iPhones, iPod Touch uses in Voice Memos). I want to be able to record a melody, and then a harmony and other elements such as instruments on separate tracks and then mix them together into one track to make a song. What is the best working app or software for this?
If you're going to suggest downloadable software, please let it be a free one. I don't mind paying for a low priced app as much.
I have had good experience with Audacity on Windows or Linux. It's fine for personal use, very stable and you can download extensions to make it compatible with more audio formats. There's also Windows Movie Maker, which is a bit simpler but also a fine option.
- What is the best music producing app/software? I was wondering what the best music producing apps were; I'm looking for something I can use on my iPhone and/or my iPad. I'm also looking for some good software that I could use when I'm on my laptop (I do not have a Mac). I'm not looking to break the bank as I'm just starting out but I would like something that I could use to produce high quality music at a reasonable price.
- What is a good audio editing software for Mac to remove background noise? I want to remove some of the background noise from some recordings I have of my college class's lecture that I recorded on my phone. I was curious if there are any programs for Mac that audiophiles would recommend. It would mostly be removing any sharp noises in the background that are distracting like doors closing or people coughing. Also, if it matters, I was curious if there were iPhone apps for recording that would improve my ability to do this other than the built in voice memos app?
- Song mixing and mastering (Software and tutorial) for beginner? I have recorded a song on Garageband on my iPhone using Peavey's Amp Kit Link and I can say that the recording quality is pretty decent. There's no background noise or anything of that sort. However, when I play all the tracks together they sound pretty aweful compared to commercial songs. Please point towards the right direction for me in terms of which mixing software should I be using, if there's any tutorial site for mixing the songs etc.
- Smooth transitions on mixing console from ONE input? I'm stepping in last minute and DJing our school fashion show the only problem is the person who set up the music put everything into an iPhone playlist. I was wonder if there's any way to get a smooth transition from one input soure. I Have the ability to cue and fade if that means anything
