Best way to preorder the iphone 5?

I'm getting a black 32 GB iphone 5 on Verizon, but I need to know where to get it. I want to either be able to go into a store and pick it up on the 21st or have it delivered to me on the 21st (it's fine if I have to pay extra for day 1 shipping). Basically I want to get my phone the day it comes out, on the 21st. My options are:
Straight through Apple: There isn't an Apple store close to me, so I'd only want to buy it from Apple if they have a day 1 shipping option.
Retailer: I was thinking Best Buy, but I don't want there to be a huge line, and I don't know whether they let you get it in the store or they ship it to you.
Verizon store: Haven't really looked into this too much.

So what should I do?

I was just at the Apple store to find out about the pre-order and the best way to get the new iPhone 5. The staff said your best shot is online at midnight. Other wise the other retailers will be an option, but they do not receive anywhere near the quality that Apple stores will be allocated on the day that it goes on sale.

  • Should I preorder the iphone 5? I can't decide… I was going to wait for it to actually come out, where reviews would already be out because I don't know if I want the iPhone 5 or samsung galaxy s3. My brother has the samsung galaxy s3 & I don't really like how big it is, in general I don't like the phone. But my friend has the iphone 4 and she charges it 2x a day which is ridiculous.
  • Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
  • Iphone 6 preorder verizon do you still get the refund? Do you still get the $200 refund for returning your old iPhone, if it's after September 30 that you receive your new iPhone? Most of the preorders you will not receive as late as November.
  • Iphone 5, preorder or store? I'm going to buy an iphone 5 but I'm not sure if I should go to the store or predorder it. The preorder currently says 2-3 weeks. I want to know when the lines will clear out in Apple Stores and At&t stores. Will they only last for 1 day? What do you think i should do? I live in Fairfax, VA and could drive to washington dc. Or would there be no huge line in this area at all?
