Boys, why ask for a girl's number if your not gonna text her? - 1

So I work with this kid and I've known him for like 3 months and he's called me his girl before and we've had conversations and hes joked with me and what not. I leave for college soon and I told him it was my last week this week, so later on that night I ask him if hes working the next day and he says yeah and I say so am I so I'm about to leave and then he says wait and then hands me his iphone and he wants me to put in my contact info. I know this guy talks to a lot of girls but my question is, is why would he ask for my number then not text me? Granted this has only been a day lol but still. I honestly don't think he likes me cause it took him a long time to get my number and we don't really talk that much. But any thoughts?

Because girls don't like clingy guys if he texts you or keeps on texting he will seem clingy and everytime I text her she will give me a really boring text response and then she won't text me.

Because we don't wanna seem clingy or needy.

Guys figure that if we act like we don't need (so to speak) a girl, they'll be more interested in us.

OK here goes… You may not have the same phone and if you don't have the same pone then it will cost you lots of money and or him lots of money to text you but what does he care? He cares about costing you money he doesn't care what if his fone is closed off he only cares about you and your phone being shut down until the next month on the 6th ok?
