Buying a sim free IPhone 5s?
What exactly is a sim free iPhone? Does that mean I can't call/text and use mobile data? Or is it where I can't physically use it as in turning it on by pressing the sleep button? My sister is confusing me and I need a bit of clarification. I'm thinking it's just the first one because it makes no sense if I bought a phone from Apple that won't even turn on.
Every iPhone 5S requires a SIM card.
A SIM free iPhone is exactly as it sounds. An iPhone without a SIM included.
Yes it would mean you can't call/text/data since there's no SIM to do it with. Usually you buy it like that if you already have a SIM to put in & use.
My last 3 iPhones were bought that way.
- When buying an iPhone 5S will I need to pay extra for a sim card? I currently have an iPhone 4S. I'm about to upgrade to the iPhone 5S and I understand that it has a different sim card. In total the iPhone comes out to $812.00. Will I need to pay an extra $20 on top of that to pay for a new sim card? Or will apple provide me with the sim card?

So does that mean I can enter any Sims card, or it doesn't have a slot were i can put one in? Or do all iphone 4s have a sim card slot, but certain networks i can't use? Because i have a t-moble sms card
- Is buying the iPhone 5 contract free worth the money? How does it work and what are the pros and cons? If you buy one contract free do you still get Wi-Fi and 4g? I'm thinking about buying one contract free because I have another smartphone with a 2 year contract.
- Iphone - buying an iphone offline from Apple and buying a sim only? Does it not work out cheaper, to buy the handset offline, and have a sim only contact and buy a nano chip separately? if you buy it from the apple store do you have to pay vat? what is the cache?
