Buying an iPhone for Tmobile?
I want an iPhone, and I know Tmobile now carries them, but it is so much cheaper to buy them online. So I was wondering if it possible for me to buy an iPhone, that has been used by any previous carrier, and simply use my Tmobile sim card and have it just work like that. I don't want to have to jail break my iPhone. Or should I simply just buy one from the store?
If you buy an iPhone from a different carrier you would have to have it unlocked before using a tmobile SIM card. My suggestion is either buy an already unlocked iPhone or just from the company.
If you buy one, it has to be a GSM model (which means no Verizon or Sprint phones). The AT&T version will work if it's unlocked and you will get 4G service in many cities (but not everywhere). You will need to check with T-Mobile to ask if you can bring an AT&T iPhone where you live.
Frankly, it's not that much cheaper. Anything really cheap is going to be old or possibly defective in some way. T-Mobile will sell you one for $100 and about $20 per month for 24 months with a no-contract plan. This is a new iPhone 5. Check their website.
- What to look for when buying an unlocked tmobile iphone? Wanna get an iphone but i'm on a family plan and they have Tmobile (and won't switch) so i was looking on ebay for an Unlocked iphone 4s. But was wondering what are somethings a should look for and keep in mind such as prices condition, etc. So i don't get ripped off or pay to much?!

Hey guys well I got my iPhone 4 I guess last October and every time I ask him for a new phone he says he's still paying for my phone but I'm wondering if having JUMP from TMOBILE matters to trade in iphones where after 6 months you can get any phone you want does it matter? Now do you think it's worth it to save $650 for a factory unlocked iPhone. Or save a few bucks in buying an AT&T iPhone and jailbreaking it? What are the pros and cons of it. What do you think?
