Buying an unlocked iPhone at Amazon?

I'm buying an unlocked iPhone 6 plus on amazon. If I buy it, and don't get a phone plan/service on it after it arrives, can I still use it for apps and music? So basically like an iPod? I plan to buy it on my next paycheck then get the service on it on my paycheck after that but still be able to use apps and listen to music on it.

If you buy the phone with contract from Amazon, you've to sign up for the plan then. You can buy the phone without contract and sign up for the plan later but that'll cost you more. I would suggest you to get the unlocked unit from outside and then use StraightTalk or metroPCS as they're the best prepaid carriers and there's no contract and such. For more info on the unlocked phone or contract, feel free to mail me.

No. Before you could use it you'd have to get a sim card to use it at all. It'll stay on "No sim card detected" or something related to that until you put one in. I got a phone early (an iPhone 4s) thinking I could use it as an iPod in the meantime but couldn't so bought a bring your own phone activation kit from Straight Talk at Walmart a week later and included everything I needed to finally set it up.

Yes you can do everything without the sim as long aws you have an apple account ( it's free)

You'd need to get it activated 1st in order to be able to do anything with it.
