Can a bad ESN be removed from iPhone?
I have an iPhone 7 Plus and it's blacklisted eBay purchase. Is it possible to remove it?
Unlikely
Phone call a phone repair store and ask the employees.
No, the phone is lost/stolen and can never be activated
You can't fix the phone, all you can do is report that you've been sold a disabled phone to eBay and get your money back!
If blacklisted/stolen phones could be fixed like this, the sellers would do it themselves so the phone could be sold for more money.
This is why both new and used phones
should be purchased ONLY from legitimate phone dealers ---
and at that, preferably local brick-and-mortar stores ---
with reputations to uphold.
No, otherwise there would be no point in a permanent electronic identifier.
- Verizon iPhone 5 comes gsm unlocked so if the esn is bad can you still use gsm? I was wondering sense the iPhone 5 for Verizon come GSM unlocked, if the ESN is bad can it still be used with GSM networks? Please let me know thanks
- Is buying a iPhone with Bad ESN bad? I want to buy an iPhone 4 or 4s but it says bad esn. I'm not going to activate the phone to any provider. I just want it for Wi-Fi for home use. Is it bad to buy it or okay?
- Does a bad esn in America still be a bad esn in places such as Canada? If I buy an iPhone with a bad esn I know it just basically an iPod but will the bad esn (Sprint) be followed when its shipped to Canada and would I be able to use it with a different carrier since there's no sprint in Canada?
- Can you unlock an iPhone 5 with a bad ESN? I'm shopping for an iPhone 5 to use because I'm a new assistant and I would like a business phone. I also would like a good phone with an even better deal and found cheaper iPhones on eBay but they have bad ESNs. I know what one is but can I unlock the phone and get rid of that problem?
