Can a blackberry have group chats with the iPhone?

I'm looking to get the new blackberry Q10, but two things are stopping me. One, is the photos, i will miss having all my photos on my phone, but i will quickly get over that. The most important thing to me is group messaging. I'm in numerous group chats with my friends, who all have iPhones, using iMessage. I'm wondering if i get the blackberry that if i would be able to still have a group chat with them?

You can actually transfer all your photos over to the BlackBerry. BlackBerry has an equivalent SMS similar to iMessage called BlackBerry Messenger. With it you can video chat (equivalent to FaceTime), group chat, voice chat, and screen share but you can only do these things unless the people who you want to chat with has a BlackBerry but since BBM will go cross platform by this fall you'll be able to BBM your friends.

I have the chats file from the iPhone (ChatStorage.sqlite) but the Android files are named different, it says msgstore.db.crypt in the Database folder on my Galaxy. Is there a way to convert the.sqlite to an Android compatible file?

  • Is it possible to link/sync iPhone to non apple laptop like Blackberry can be with Blackberry blend Currently using q10. It is easy to work as one can sync it with windows laptop with Blend. Using Blend I can even send text messages. Use shared folder and files. But with BB now over I know will have to move on. Ios is good system just like BB. But nobody in my contact uses Apple. I'm not fond of 6inch glass slab used mainly for games/movies etc.
