If you want an iPhone get the iPhone 4S because it has gorilla glass and the others break really easy
No… Any kind of point will crack the screen at the point of impact, as will dropping your phone from around 3 feet on to the glass or edge, as will bumping in to something hard enough while the phone is in your pocket. It's strong glass, but not that strong… You need to take care of it.
EDIT: @Greg The iPhone has always used Gorilla Glass from Corning… It's nothing new.
