Can an Apple device be tracked on Find my iPhone after being erased?
My iPod was stolen. I had it erased remotely and then re-registered it on my same Apple ID as before using the serial number off the box which I fortunately still had. Can I track the iPod using Find my iPhone after re-registering the lost iPod? I'm assuming that since I was able to re-register the iPod it wasn't registered on the thief's Apple ID.
You should be able 2
I'm afraid not. You need to set Find My iPod up on your iPod. But you can have a try with Find My iPhone. Log in to your account at: https://www.icloud.com/...cloud.com/ to locate your device. If you bought it in AT&T Store, you'd better call AT&T for help. Use some anti-theft or monitoring app on your device in the future, which is useful in such case.

- IPhone being tracked via Wi-Fi? My brother found an iPhone5 a week ago at the mall and decided to keep it. (I know he's wrong for that ). He took out the sim card, turned off the location services & the findmyiphone thing. The service is now off. I guess the real owner took the service off. He connected it to iTunes and restored it to a new phone. Now all the data's erased. He connected it to our home Wi-Fi & now he's all worried that they could still track him. Can they?
- If my iPhone is being tracked by GPS not using any apps, how do I turn it off from my phone? Can I just turn off my location services or do I have to do something else? Will putting my phone on airplane mode do the trick? (the gps system is not using cellular data)
