Can an iPhone 5s be factory unlocked?
I brought the phone off instagram I searched the imei number and it came back clean but when I got the phone it say it's locked to a email address that the person doesn't know. What can I do with the phone?
If it's Activation Lock, you can't do anything with the phone. It's a paperweight. Don't buy stolen phones and you won't have this problem.
Try restore the iphone on itunes and if that doesn't work then take it to someone who can unlock it

My uncle tried to do it a couple of months ago and apple said that if it was factory unlocked every time the phone shut off or died it would reset.
