Can an iphone which is factory unlocked can it be reported stolen?

Lets say i buy a iphone and is factory unlocked and i have tmobile will i be able to use it without any problems?

What you need to do if find out if the ESN number is clean or not, in other words find outnifthat phone has already been flagged as stolen, if it is it won't work. If you don't know where to find your esn(Equipment Serial Number) or imei (International Mobile Equipment Identifier) They are generally located on the back of your phone behind the cell phone battery, where you will see the numbers next to the appropriate category. If you are buying it from someone make them give you the ESN number and run it through phonehistoryreport.com to find out if its clean or not.

Yes the phone can be reported stolen. You will have to provide it's serial number. If you have the "find my phone" app on it, you could locate the phone yourself.

If it is unlocked, yes the person who has it can get another airtime carrier, but they would have to purchase a sim card for it from that carrier. Some iphones do not have a sim card, they are on a network.

@ lainie will they be able to active it with their carrier if not can they change the imei number then use under their carrier
