Can anything other than the person themselves turn off their location sharing?
I share my iPhone location with my girlfriend (obviously she does with me also) but when I Looked earlier it kept saying "location unavailable." so when I asked she went and turned the share location back on and said that Instagram probably turned it off whenever she didn't want it to know her location.
So I guess I'm just wondering if any third party applications can do that or if it has to be done manually
Not 100% sure, but I'm guessing that apps can request to use location sharing, so when you agree to all of those things that most don't read, you are probably giving different apps that ability.
Generally the setting only applies to that specific app. There are probably some apps out there that can turn off your main setting, but the instagram app isn't one of them
- Why do poor people care more about their image and buying nice clothes than feeding their family or paying bills? I see tons of poor people who make less than 20k a year spending their entire income on nice clothes and shoes and purses and makeup. Their children are starving they can't even afford to use the air conditioner or pay for electricity but they absolutely need to buy a new iPhone or a new pair of high heels
- When you rest your iPhone, does it stop sharing your location? If you have your location shared with people indefinitely, and you reset your iPhone will your location stop sharing with them/ will they be notified? (When someone stops sharing location manually it says "so-and-so stopped sharing location with you") Or is the only way to stop sharing your location with someone to go into the convo, and go to details and click "stop sharing location"?
- What does sharing location from this iphone on a blocked number mean? I clicked on a number i blocked a while back and saw on the location service something along the line of "sharing location from this iphone"… If anyone also has the same message would you be able to share? Or explain to me? Does this mean the blocked number was able to see my location through the last year?
- Is there sometimes a glitch in the location sharing in iPhone? Can someone's location just turn off by itself? I know that when you delete your messages with that person, you're location is also stopped but apart from that is there a glitch that happens that stops location sharing?
