Can Find My iPhone work if someone clears all data?
My friend recently lost her iPhone 7. It's been 2 days and we've looked everywhere, so I think someone must have already took it. Her iPhone has a 6-digit passcode and Touch ID. I was wondering, if someone found it and deleted all the data, could the Find My iPhone app still track it? Or is it not possible?
No you Can Find iPhone
No, it wouldn't be possible anymore since the log in data for that would be gone, but they wouldn't be able to activate the phone since it would still require that Apple ID & password.
Though in most cases, assuming they don't know, you have to disable Find My iPhone before being able to restore an iPhone, so it may not be able to be reset in the first place.
- How can I know if someone is tracking my iPhone? Or are there any ways I can find out I had a friend, that knows things I never mention to her. And she is becoming really creepy about my life. I though maybe she is tracking my iPhone but I don't know what can I do?
- My iPhone just got stolen and i didn't put on Find my iphone. Is there a way i can find it without find my iphone? I have found out that i can remove my iphone from associated devices. Does doing this erase the iphone?
- How to get an iPhone app to forget all its data when deleting the app doesn't work? I want to make an account in the hellotalk app, but it won't allow me to have more than one account per device. I don't remember my old password and no longer use the email address that I used to make that account, so there's no way I could recover the account. I tried deleting and redownloading the app, no luck. It still remembers me. Anything else I could do?
- How to find out my data plan and how much data I have left? I just get an iPhone and I got the smallest data plan I could. I really don't want to go over and I want to know how much data I have left! I've gone to settings, general, and usage to where it brings up sent and received and I don't understand all of that? Can someone help?
