Can gou use a debit card for an iPhone?

I'm getting an iPhone soon, but I heard you needed a credit card? Why do you need one, can you use a debit card to get one?

Are you only buying the device or are you getting a service contract with it?

If it's just the device, you can pay in cash or debit at the Apple store.

You need a credit card if you're getting a contract. They need a way to get paid if you don't pay your bill. Some places will take a cash deposit if you don't have a credit card, usually about $200-$300

  • Using your debit card on an ipod touch or iphone? If I used my debit card on my ipod touch to by something is it still at risk of being hacked or from someone being able to use it? I'm talking about buying stuff off of safari like on amazon or whatever
