Can I authorize my iPhone for 2 Apple IDs?
I want to make a new ID, but I'm not sure if it'll erase all my downloads from the old one.
Is it possible to authorize the phone for both?
You sure can, and it won't erase anything!
You can simply log out of the iTunes store, create a new ID, and log in to the new one.
You will be required to log in to the old account to update any apps that you had, and balances/credit card info will not transfer.
You will also need to register for iCloud if you use that service.
- Sharing music on different Apple IDs? My younger sister just got an iPhone and set up her own Apple ID for it so she can have her own messenger and that kind of thing. She has no music on it though, and wants to share music with me. The problem is, she has no computer of her own, so I don't know how to homeshare with her. All of the computers in our house are already associated with Apple IDs and don't allow her to have her own account on them. Any advice?
- If I use my Apple Care to get a new iPhone can I repurchase Apple Care again? I figure that because they will usually replace your troubled phone with a refurbished one you should be able to, but if anyone could weigh in on their knowledge or experiences I would appreciate it.
- How to Transfer Apps between Apple IDs? My mother just got an iPad. I have an iphone and I bought a few games that I would like to let her play without her paying. I heard this was legal because its within family. What do I do? Do I log into Itunes through her iPad and then download? What are the complications of logging my apple id into her than switching?
