Can I bring a laptop and a DSLR in a backpack as a carry-on?
I'm going to New York for an art trip for school, and I've never been on a plane before. We're on a tight schedule, so I don't want to cause any trouble going through security. I plan on bringing a backpack on the plane for carry-on and I was just wondering if I could bring my laptop and my DSLR in my carry-on. I know to keep them wrapped up and safe, and I've heard you have to take the laptop out of the bag and send it through a separate bin and then you can go on your way. Is it okay to bring both of those major electronics, plus my iphone and its charger in my carry-on?
Yeah all of those things are no problem. It won't cause a delay at security either
Yes, it is. I carry a couple of cameras, a laptop, a cell phone and chargers when I travel frequently including a flight just this morning.
No problem.
I carry all this junk also.
Take computer out of backpack (and case if in one) and place in separate bin for scanning.
To be really sure of 1st time pass through take off… If you are wearing a metal belt take it off also and put in bin. Also watch and any coins in your pocket as sometimes they trip the scanner and they have to go through again!
Countless numbers of people do this every day, you are not the first. Yes, you do have to take the laptop out and send it through in a separate bin. When I travel I carry a laptop, tablet, phone, 3 cameras and all the necessary chargers.
- What should I bring on my carry on bag for a flight? I'm 14 if that helps. So far I have my kindle, my iphone, ear buds, a blanket, a pillow, and the chargers. But I feel like I'm forgetting something, am I?
- What is the best DSLR starter camera for taking action and still shots of animals? I'm overwhelmed by all of the options. This will be my first real camera. I've been using my iPhone for pictures and am just tired of being so limited. I mostly take pics of dogs playing and doing agility courses, but I want a camera that will also be great for doggy portraits, regular wildlife, and landscape shots. Price isn't a big concern. I want to make sure I start off right! Any ideas of what would be best for a beginner like me?
- Should I bring my laptop to school for a camera or just get a camera? I'm doing a video should I bring my laptop (I don't wanna loose it) or should I just get one btw i can't afford one and no i can't use iphones or ipods and stuff like that i can only use normal tape recorders do you thinks its ok to bring my laptop or should i just get a camera?
- Is it common to bring dslr cameras to study abroad? I'm going abroad in the fall for a semester and I was wondering it if was worth buying a dslr camera. I own an iphone 5 and a point-and-shoot camera that works okay but the sometimes takes blurry photos. Is it worth buying a $400 dslr camera? Is it common for students to bring dslr cameras while studying abroad or is it too clunky? btw I'm in college
