Can I buy a cheap sims card for a iphone 5 just to make the internet work?
I have a iphone 5 with a bad esn and no sims card. Was going to give it to my son just for the App Store and YouTube but it's not letting me do anything without the sims card. Could I buy any cheap sims card and get it to work for him?
Its not going to work at all with a bad esn. Its already been reported lost or stolen and blacklisted.
If you have Wi-Fi in your home you should be able to connect thru it - most smartphones work like small computers. Typically go thru settings > Wi-Fi > select name of wireless and enter password. Unfortunately I have no idea if this truly works on locked phones with bad ESN's or not. Good luck. Last ditch resort - sell it on eBay as a Bad ESN - believe it or not - someone will buy it.
