Can i buy APPLE IPHONE 4 in Dubai and get it to India?

I'm planning to buy apple i phone 4 in Dubai when i visit. I want to get it to Bangalore(India).is it possible to use it in India? How much is the cost of a 16GB apple iphone 4 in dubai?

Yes you can use the mobile.
But I guess the charger adapter has different pins in Dubai(flat) unlike in India(round).
So you need to buy a charger once you're back to India.

@H -- In Pakistan you can jailbreak any mobile phone… Is jailbreak a right term? My brother used a term something to that effect, that's what I remember vaguely. I use Skype on my iphone and it worked everywhere. I loved iphone4 to the core. It was such a breeze to make videos from cars or metro without being conspicuous in public eye. Plus, you can use Skype Video Call.

@wokie dokie - you can charge your iphone from your laptop. You use a charger similar to the one you use for your ipod.

H is right, all iPhones sold in US are locked meaning the carrier subsidizes part of the cost. So when you jailbreak it is like stealing from the cell provider, in UAE you get it factory unlocked %100 legit.
