Can i buy the iphone 5 without having a contract or anything?
I'm not eligible for an upgrade until march. I currently have the 3gs, and i'm having so many problems with it, my screen is shattered and what not. Its old. I need a new phone, but long story short. I don't want to buy a new line or contract or anything. I just want to buy the phone and pay full price for it. You know what i mean?
and how much would that cost.

$799 and you will still need a contract to use it.
If you pay for a factory unlocked iPhone 5, you don't need a contract
as for your Additional Details:
no, the new iPhone 5 uses a nano-SIM card, which is smaller than either standard or micro-SIM cards.

I don't want to have an text/call/internet plan of anything for it now. Where can i get an iphone without a plan and will the iphone still work with my home Wi-Fi if i don't have a phone plan for it?
- Is there anything giving away free iPhones without doing anything? I was wondering if there was any site that's legit that gives you a free iphone and not the points sites cuz they only give very few points for each offers an I don't want to complete offers cuz they cost money and not those referral or sites that download apps and games or surveys I want something that gives you an iphone by just putting in info

- Is it better to buy a iphone with a contract or without a contract? Because with a contract you have to pay monthly fees $60 - $100 and without a contract you pay more for the phone without the monthly fees
