Can I change the carrier of my LG Optimus L45C by rooting?

I recently got an LG Optimus L45C phone. As far as I know, it's only supported carrier is Net10, but I want to use Verizon. Is it possible to change the carrier by rooting the device? I know that you can change the carrier on an iPhone if you jailbreak so I was wondering if you could do the same on an Android device.

Jailbreaking an iPhone does NOT allow you to change carriers, it only allows you to customize the iPhone. Same with rooting an android phone. What your talking about is unlocking a phone. If you want to unlock a net10 phone, you can. Just as long as the other company your switching to uses the same kind of network that net10 uses. You can have it unlocked, or clone the ESN. In order to clone it, you will need another smartphone from the company your switching too.

What they do when cloning the ESN is putting the ESN from the new smartphone onto your Optimus.

They make these cases for quite a few brands, like android and HTC, but I can't find any for the LG Optimus… Please help?
