Can i connect iphone 5 with metropcs?
So, i have metropcs but am interested in getting an iphone 4 or 5. I like my metro plan and wouldnt mind paying some extra money per month if it ws necessary but, is there a way to buy an iphone 5 or an unlocked iphone 5 and have it connected to your metropcs plan? Also, what is an unlocked iphone 5 and how does it differ from a regular iphone 5? Serious answers only please.
An unlocked phone is a GSM phone that is not locked to a specific carrier. Put in a SIM card and you're ready to go. That usually means you paid full price for it (which is about 650 for an iPhone 5, unless you go used).
MetroPCS has merged with T-Mob so it should accept GSM phones, so you need one that had been activated on T-mob or AT&T, if used, or just go to Apple and buy an unlocked phone.
Keep in mind that you may NOT be able to keep the same plan with a smartphone.
