Can I erase my iPhone without affecting my new one?
My friend bought an iPhone 6 but never even touched it, so he gave it to me. I have an iPhone 5s. I took out the sim card from the iPhone 5s and put it in the iPhone 6. I then used iCloud to put in some of my stuff on the new phone (some stuff transferred, some stuff didn't (ex. My photos didn't transfer but the backup was also from January of 2016 so I expected some stuff not to work)). I'm still getting texts on the iPhone 5s though, and some of my texts aren't sending in to my iPhone 6. Can I wipe my iPhone 5s to factory settings to just kind of get it to stop receiving stuff? Or since the phones are "connected" through iCloud, will that affect the iPhone 6 and wipe stuff off of it? Honestly, I don't understand anything that has to do with the iCloud and stuff so I know maybe these questions are stupid but help.
When you factory wipe your device, everything on that iPhone is deleted. It will not affect any other device associated with your iCloud account.
- What will erase and sync erase on my iphone? I wanted to connect my iphone to a new computer but it says erase and sync, what will it erase? All of the contents or just music?
- Magnetic phone case affecting iPhone call speaker? I have had a magnetic clamp case for my iPhone for a pretty long time. Just today I noticed when I have he case on the call speaker makes loud popping noises and weird sounds. When you take the case off they stop. Do you think the case could be affecting my phone in any other ways? Also, why do you think it's doing this?
- Is my iPhone case affecting my service? I recently just ordered an adorable case for my iPhone, but it seems to be affecting my service in places where I only have one or two bars. I recently read something that said metallic phone cases can affect service, and this could very well be coated with metallic finish. My question is, is there anything I can do about it?
- IPhone 5 case affecting sleep button? Ok so I just bought an iPhone 5 case and I noticed that the case covers the sleep button on the top of the phone and is very stiff basically making it hard to press the button. I'm fine with it but I'm just worried that this might mess up or get my sleep button stuck. Does any one have history of using a case like this?
