Can I flash an iPhone myself?

I have a brand new iPhone 4 from Verizon that I want to flash to Cricket services.

All the good cellular stores around my house are closed cause it's Easter. I mean, waiting a few days isn't gonna kill me, but I need it just as soon as possible as my other one is not working right.

Is there anyway I can do it myself? Step by step directions/process?

I found this:
Since Cricket has officially received the iPhone, they will no longer add non Cricket branded iPhone MEID numbers to their system. This is a harsh penalty to any dealer that does so which means it will likely be next to impossible to port your iPhones to Cricket now. If you are somehow able to get your iPhones MEID into the Cricket system please let the community know, otherwise I will leave the tutorial up for educational purposes as well as for people that wish to flash their CDMA iPhones to other carriers that accept foreign iPhone MEID numbers (such as Metro PCS).

  • Why do iPhone photos of myself stink, but flash looks good? Whoever I take a pic of myself in the day, I think it looks awful. There are shadows under my eyes and my cheeks look puffy. It also seems like you can't get too far away from the camera. At night with flash, it looks great! Is it better to just use a regular camera for day pics?
  • Where can I store personal pictures for myself on an iphone? I want to lose weight and take before and after pictures of myself. I have an iPhone and don't want to store my pictures in the Camera Roll because my nosy friends grab my phone all the time and look at my albums. It would be very embarrassing if they see my stomach or fat legs. Is there an app or option to store private photos? Especially if you need a password to see them?
  • My Iphone 5c screen cracked, can I fix it myself? Or too risky? Is it too risky to fix my own Iphone 5c screen? I was just wondering if I could just pay 15 bucks for a new screen on Amazon/Ebay and fix it myself instead of paying 150 bucks for someone else to do it correctly (and not even you never know if they do it correctly) or is it difficult to, and way too risky?
  • Is there an app I can get to weigh myself by stepping on my iPhone? Thanks. Also, I have a plastic screen protector which I purchased from Dollarama so my phone should be sturdy.
