Can I get feedback and/or ideas for moving forward with my photography?
I'm twenty-nine and an amateur photographer. I started taking pictures two years ago with my iPhone camera, then moved "up" to a Sony DSC-S85. I take a lot of self-portraits and I also use Photoshop. Taking pictures has become a passion or an obsession, and I do it almost every day. I would love to have feedback on my work as it appears on my wordpress blog, but also ideas on how to move forward. What do I do next? Or is there even a "next"? Any thoughts will be appreciated. Here is my blog's URL:

I see promise. I would work with photoshop a little more to really touch up some of these. There are a lot that seem just plain strange to me, and a lot more that seem like good reference pictures for creating something else using photoshop. But I think I'm getting your style. I love Growing out of it. If you cleaned it up with photoshop i could see it on a magazine or something.
Since you are amateur i won't bash for no depth of field.
My favorites are… Well i only got through 5 pages.

Chasing meaning huh. Look, not to be harsh, but instead of chasing meaning, how about chasing a good composition. Ascending road is the closest shot you have to a conventional image. It has a decent leading line that draws us into the image, but the lush green foliage is not all that interesting for where the road leads our eyes to gaze.
Very interesting if not a little minimalistic at times. The best way to move forward is to establish a differential. Really embrace what you need to or want to change and or look at other people's work and see what you want to explore. You might like Joel Meyerowitz and Andreas Feinginger as inspiration. Go to the library and just start grabbing random photography books and see what you like. Poke around and find "oh, this is XY by XY in the ZY movement" and get up, and search for a book on just that.
P.S., if anyone tells you that you need a specific camera or more editing programs, screw them. Screw them hard.
I like that you have a different way of seeing things. Some of the ways you use light is quite novel. The self portraits are quite interesting and show signs of a pretty creative imagination.
At some point you might want to change your colour palette a bit; that lo-fi, washed out look is fine to a degree, but I wouldn't want to get pigeonholed into it. It works for certain shots, but with the flowers it just looks faded. Flowers are meant to look colourful and bright.
If I were you, I would start seriously studying the nuts and bolts of photography as well as the artistic side. They go hand in hand. The more technical stuff you learn, the more you can apply it to your shots. With some technical sense, I think you could get some really quite good pictures.
Also, look at the work of other photographers. You may not like their style, but usually something will rub off on you on a conscious or subconscious level and this will expand your style and give you more ideas.
I'm not so impressed with your work. WIth that said, I would say that you should look at other photos that you like and try and mirror that. I promise you that your own style will emerge and you'll find others looking at your work in order to develop themselves. The worse thing you could do would be to put your camera down. - Give me feedback on my business idea? Ok so I'm 15 and my idea is to bulk buy some skins for a range of digital devices (xbox one, ps4'iphones, blackberry, computers and tablets) these skins would be almost a kind of tattoo that is stylish on a device, I would sell them using cost plus pricing Alternatively, what about a disc repairing service it would have to be very cheap and I'd have to buy refills often
- My iPhone five broke? How can I forward texts to a different device? My iPhone 5 broke about a week ago. I have insurance on it but it still costs 200$ to replace and I don't feel like I need a new one that bad to pay 200$. I would rather spend 200$ on other stuff. However, I do have an itouch which allows me to text through my email/iMessage stuff but I don't receive texts that are texted to my number on it so is there a way I can like forward all the messages I've probably been getting on my broken phone to my iPod imessage thing?
- Is there anyway I can get a moving gif as my iPhone 4 wallpaper? I have this super amazing gif that inwould like to have as my home wallpaper. Is there anyway I can put it as my wallpaper, and having it move at the same time or is that not possible? Pleaseet me know!
