Can I get my iphone replaced for free with applecare?

I recently cracked my screen and my home button doesn't work and the speaker isn't working either so i'm not able to hear anything. If I bring my phone to the apple store, will they replace the phone for free? I have applecare.

First, they will try to fix it. If it can't be fixed, then yes, you will get a replacement phone.

I believe that would be the case. You could/should check with Apple Support on Twitter though.

I'm aware that AppleCare for iPhone is not available in Malaysia but is it possible for me to purchase the plan from Australia and register the ACPP agreement onto my iPhone? It seems to be possible to me but what I'm worried about is, will the Australian ACPP be compatible to my iPhone that was bought in Malaysia?
  • When my iPhone 6 screen is replaced by apple, will the home button be replaced as well? Ever since I updated to iOS 9 on my iPhone 6, the home button has been totally unresponsive. On top of this, my phone was recently stepped on and the screen was shattered. I plan on paying the $109 to have the screen replaced from apple, but does that replace the home button too? I've heard that when the front screen panel is replaced, so is the home button/touch id.
