Can i play a greater resolution videos than iphone's resolution?
I mean like iphone 5's resolution is 1136x640 so can i play a video with a resolution of 1280x720 or 1920x1080? Will the iphone play it? If it does will there be a quality change or does it look alike?
I don't know about the iPhone 5, but I have an iPhone 4 and yes, it will play videos with a higher resolution, so an extent. It won't play really big movies, but as long as it's close, I haven't had a problem. Just try it and see what happens. If the video you want to watch doesn't play, you can download Format Factory for free and change the output setting to reduce the resolution of the video. It saves it to a different file so it won't overwrite the original.

- Why are the colors and resolution on my iPhone so much better than on my laptop?
