Can I put an iphone 5a a7 chip in my 5c?

I was just curious if it is possible to put an iPhone 5s a7 processor chip and or battery in my iPhone 5c? Please refrain from the generic mean and trollish responses of "why would you want to?" Or "just buy a 5s". I'm aware that it is a strange question and that I could easily just go buy a 5s thanks. I have a nasty habit of customizing my iPhones. I just happen to have upgraded to the 5c because it was economical for me at the time. I already have a new colored backing I'm installing, a new colored front glass, and a colored iphone 5 button (I'm also aware the 5s finger print scanner won't work).

To add to tobi's answer, yes you can desolder it but also ios is expecting it to be the 5c chip and won't take the features of the 5s chip, which basically makes it useless. And if your tempted to say oh just flash the 5s ios, then the rest of the hardware needs to get swapped out and by the time you do that a 5s is cheaper.

Thank you! I didn't know for sure. It's kind of a pity, I really like the look and feel of the 5c so I wanted the faster processor but I'll live.

No it isn't possible, because smartphone proccessors are soldered to the circuit board.

  • Replacing cdma chip iphone 4 sprint? I have a sprint sanyo scp-3810 and i recently purchased an iphone 4 sprint. I was wondering how to transfer my CDMA card from my current phone to my new one and if i would receive a data charge since my current plan is talk only and I have Wi-Fi at home and at school so I don't really need the data? Any information would be appreciated.
