Can I put my normal orange simcard into an iphone 4?

Here's the problem I just got a new contract at christmas time I got the blackberry torch but I'm thinking about buying an iphone 4 soon but my contract doesn't end until next year which means I need to keep this normal sim card could I put it into an iphone so I still have my minutes and texts or do I need a special kind of sim card?

Keep your Berry for the year; wait for the new iPhone to come out and work out the bugs; then go for the Apple.

You're going to need a new micro-sim for the iphone 4. You would have to contact your carrier to receive one.

Iphone does not work on orange anyway.

keep your current phone until the end of your contract and save money.

If you contact Orange to request a microsim, they'll be happy to provide you with one but charge you more than what you're paying now as iPhone plans tend to cost more and they'll insist that your iPhone won't work without one. However that is not true at all! I was in the same position as you once. I had a BlackBerry on contract with Orange, was happy with all my minutes and allowances, I got a sim free iPhone 4S and really wanted to use it as my main phone with all my minutes and number in etc. So I called Orange to ask them about the situation and they said I'd have to get an iPhone plan because my BlackBerry sim would never work and it would cost me more than what I was already paying and would mean I'd have to sacrifice my minutes and also pay extra for the microsim. I just thought it was completely ridiculous so I declined and went on eBay and ordered myself a sim card cutter and cut my own Orange sim card down and have now been using it in my iPhone for 6 months with no problems whatsoever. I suggest you do that too if you do decide to go ahead and purchase an iPhone!

Hope this helps, good luck!

My girlfriend asked for a micro sim and they gave her one, no questions asked, it even came with an adaptor to use it in phones that accept normal sim cards.

You can always get a sim card cutter, but of course it could go wrong.
