Can i sell my iPhone 4s while on contract?
I recently got the phone with a new contract for at&t. It's still on contract, but i need the cash fast. So can i sell just the phone itself and NOT the sim card? If i do sell, are there things i should know about before selling my phone? I've been thinking to get a free phone from at&t.
You are still obligated to pay the bill until the other contract runs out. You signed a contract and can't just walk away from it without paying penalties.
Don't listen to those fools. Your phone is not attached to your account. You can take out your sim and get a different phone but you can't get a free phone from AT&T till an upgrade. Depending on your iphone model it will decide if your SIM card will still work. If you have a 2g 3G or 3GS then you can use your sim in any phone that takes a full size sim. If its a 4 or 4s that's a micro sim and the phone has to support micro sims. If its a iPhone 5 it's a nano sim and no other phone uses a nano sim. You still need to pay your contract unless you are upgrading then you can't get a new phone
No you can't. Because the phone is attatched to your account and will not work with any other sim card.
@Josh actually the phone you are under contract for is attatched to your account until you either a.purchase another at full price or b. Have an upgrade. I just went through this with verizon thinking I could just take my sim card out of my galaxy 3 and put it in my brothers note 2 (we were switching phone) and it did not work. We needed to call verizon to have them do the switch. Just call and ask then if your obligated to keep the phone you have I know every company is different verizon are just aholes.
You can legally sell your iphone without the sim card and only be obligated to the bill associated with that sim card. We will buy your iphone from you now. - When in a contract, can I get a different SIM while in another country? I'm going to china in 15 days and I want an IPhone so I can take pictures and have data while I'm there. I'm staying for an entire month. Getting this IPhone (with either sprint or T-mobile) with put me in a 2 year contract. Will I be able to use my phone while I'm there with the new SIM card I'm buying in China. I heard that my phone will be locked while I'm out of the country or something.
- Is this fixable? And if it is can I use it while keeping my current contract? I have an iPhone 4th gen and I was wondering If I could switch to my brothers old iPhone 5s. I'm not sure if it's fixable though. The home button fell off and the screen is in horrible condition. A rough estimate of how much it would cost would be great too.
