Can I switch handsets on Corporate account?

I currently have a Blackberry that is tied to my employer's Verizon account. If I have a Verizon iPhone is there a way I can either go to a store, call, etc. And get Verizon to deactivate the Blackberry and activate the iPhone since I'm not the actual holder of the account but have both handsets in my possession?

You probably need your employer's permission. The handset they issue you is their property, but you might be able to forward calls to your personal phone. Of course, if you make calls from your phone, the person you call will get your personal number.

  • Would I be able to switch carriers without having to switch phones? I'm with Consumer Cellular and I have an iPhone SE, but I'm thinking of switching carriers so that I can get unlimited data. I don't want to get a new phone because I've had my current one about six months, I really like it, and it works great. I'm not locked into a contract with Consumer Cellular. Would I be able to switch to another carrier without having to purchase a new phone?
